About Randolph-Macon College

Randolph-Macon College is a private, co-educational liberal arts college located in Ashland, which is a town in the US state of Virginia, located just north of Richmond in Hanover County, with a population of more than 6600 inhabitants, as estimated during the 2000 census.

The college was founded by the Methodists, in 1830, and presenlty offers its students a variety of liberal arts undergraduate programs from which they can choose, its mission being `to develop the mind and the character of its students`.

Athletics

Randolph-Macon's athletic teams are called the Yellow Jackets and they compete in NCAA Division III, ODAC. Their distinctive colors are lemon gold and black.
